SystemX, the Institute of Research and Technology (IRT – Institute de recherche technologique) specialised in the field of digital engineering of complex systems, is adjusting the organisation of its operational management to the development of vast structuring R&D programmes with a global outreach: Nadège Faul has joined the institute as Director of Programmes and Projects and Lionel Scremin has been promoted as Director of International Development.
Nadège Faul, Director of Programmes and Projects
As Director of Programmes and Projects, Nadège Faul, 60, will supervise the project management business, ensure the alignment of projects and programmes with the strategic objectives of the institute, and contribute to the results valuation strategy.
A graduate from the NEOMA Business School, Nadège has 28 years of experience at Stellantis where she held various positions in the fields of vehicle, spare parts and services distribution, commercial network development, in France and on an international scale, and the management of strategic cross-company projects. She then joined VEDECOM in 2014 to ensure the management of research projects dedicated to the introduction of automated and connected vehicles in transportation infrastructures, as well as many French and European collaborative projects dedicated to autonomous vehicle trials.
Lionel Scremin, Director of International Development
Lionel Scremin, 48, becomes Director of International Development. Within the framework of his new position, he will mainly be in charge of activity prospection and development throughout its priority application sectors, and the pre-implementation of programmes and projects with partners.
A Supélec engineer, Lionel Scremin collaborated for 15 years within the Alstom group in North America. He held different positions within the systems engineering and product management departments, orchestrating the delivery and implementation of digital solutions for high technologies in telecommunications, multimedia, safety, transportation and infrastructure systems. He developed his range of skills with a Master’s degree in Applied Science and a Master’s degree in Affairs Administration at the University of Montréal. He joined IRT SystemX in 2013 to supervise the management of a research project applied to multimodal transport, combining his interests for both innovation and management. He subsequently took over the management of activity development of the institute in Lyon. Since 2020, he has also been developing the European Affairs of the institute.
“Since 2020, we have been operating major structuring programmes, with the ambition to impact the international stage, centred on trustworthy and hybrid artificial intelligence, industrial cybersecurity, and industrial digital twins. Our organisation needed to adapt to this evolution. These nominations will both enable further transversality and reinforce the development of new strategic partnerships on the international stage. They will also reinforce our ability to coordinate new emblematic programmes around our know-how and platforms. I am delighted with the nomination of Lionel Scremin, which falls within the continuity of his previous role as Director of European Affairs and the arrival of Nadège Faul who will contribute her expertise which is perfectly aligned with the institute’s DNA” comments Paul Labrogère, Director General of SystemX.
