The IRT SystemX continues to explore the challenges of autonomous vehicles with the launch, on the 1st of March 2015, of the SVA Project (simulation for the safety of autonomous vehicles).
The Autonomous Vehicle is one of the plans that was presented to and adopted by the New Industrial France (NFI) Committee. The SVA Project’s goal is to use digital simulation, by developing methods and tools to aid in the design and validation, to answer the challenge of the complexity of both the large number of situations that the driver meets on the road and the technologies needed to automate the vehicles.
