Guillaume Boudy, France’s recently appointed Investment General Secretary, came to the Plateau de Saclay on 15 February 2018 to see for himself the rich digital ecosystem to which the IRT SystemX belongs.
During his first visit to the Plateau de Saclay, Guillaume Boudy was able to discover the IRT SystemX’s R&D activities, a veritable testing ground for the technologies of the future.
He was taken on a demo-tour during which he learned about the Institute’s research projects dedicated to emerging sectors:
- The Mobility Solutions Modelling (MSM) and Autonomous Vehicle Safety Simulation (SVA) projects presented their work on the development of new mobility solutions and the deployment of autonomous transport.
- The Blockchain for Fintech and Insuretech (BFI) project demonstrated the contribution of blockchain technology to the green bonds market use case in improving the flow and reliability of exchanges between the many stakeholders involved in the sector (issuers, investors, certifiers, etc.).
- Lastly, the IRT SystemX’s Environment for the Interoperability and Integration in Cybersecurity (EIC) project presented the work it is doing jointly with the CEA in the field of homomorphic encryption.
Guillaume Boudy was appointed Secrétaire Général pour l’Investissement by the French President on 3 January 2018. As part of the Prime Minister’s office, he is responsible for the management of the French government’s “Investing for the Future” (PIA) programme, in collaboration with ministries and state-controlled operators.
He succeeded Louis Schweitzer, who served as Commissaire Général à l’Investissement from 2014 to 2017.
