For Mobility Season 2’s theme “How to gear transport supply to demand”, SystemX is looking for startups developing passenger count sensing solutions and technologies to improve real-time knowledge of movement or to measure and characterize incidents.
This new call for applications, which opened on 22 March 2018, will enable startups to join the Modelling Mobility Solutions (MSM) R&D project which aims to provide solutions to improve understanding of local mobility and help improve traffic flow for users in urban areas. It brings together industrial stakeholders including Alstom, Assystem, Bouygues Télécom, Cosmo Tech, OpenDataSoft, RATP and Renault. The academic partners include CentraleSupélec, École Polytechnique, IFSTTAR, Institut Mines Télécom and the Laboratoire Ville Mobilité Transport (LVMT).
With this call for applications for START@SystemX Mobility Season 2, SystemX is looking for startups able to:
- Implement sensing solutions, for example, to send real-time information about traffic volumes at critical points or to measure and characterize incidents
- Process and analyse the data collected and supplied by the project partners (position and occupancy rate of the means of transport, remote ticketing, telecom tracking, etc.) coming from the urban environment (weather, urban events and all kinds of open data information) to help improve knowledge, and the performance, of the transport system.
The three startups selected will have access to the MSM testing environment in order to install their solutions, as well as real datasets, use cases contributed by the project partners and supervision from the project’s domain experts. They will also receive a grant of up to €60,000 under the French government’s Investment for the Future Programme (PIA) as part of a POC&GO challenge (an initiative led by Cap Digital among others).
